It will give you a general idea if the battery has been charged or not, however it really doesn't provide a reliable reading of voltage on each cell.
On my experience only the reading from the second cell (on my 3 cell battery) is correct.
So it will give you a general idea of a battery charged vs. a battery that needs some charging.
I would not recommend this product.
