Garindan, a Kubaz spy aiding the Imperials in "Star Wars: A New Hope", remains the most intriguing of all the 12" dolls. He comes complete with a black cloak, Kubaz boots, textured snoot, goggles and voice comlink. You can even take off his hood to reveal the details of his entire head!
Garindan will provide your child with hours of pure fun. You can put him anywhere in your house and let him "spy" on all your other dolls. Keep a Sandtrooper doll nearby and Garindan can contact him via comlink, to perhaps arrest your Ponda Baba doll for aggravating people in bars. The possibilities are endless!
Garindan is one of the most recognizable spies in Mos Eisley. His sensitive eyes require him to wear strong protective goggles to protect him from the blazing twin suns of Tatooine. Although there are hundreds of spies working day and night in Mos Eisley, there are few who are directly linked to the Empire. He communicates with Imperial forces using his special comlink, built to conform to Imperial code encrypting and signals. Well known, many of the citizens of Mos Eisley fear his presence, as Imperial troops are always soon to follow.
As a very prominant figure in the Mos Eisley scenes Garindan didn't even earn the right to have a standard issue action figure back in the late 70's or 80's. Why was he overlooked? Why did Power Droid, Death Star Commander and Pruneface have a figure, but not Garindan? Please contact me if you have an answer.
